2. Also called jodhpur shoe, jodhpur boot: an ankle-high shoe for wearing with such breeches, having a strap that encircles the ankle and buckles on the side.

*The point of this post was Kristin Scott Thomas's pants in The English Patient. I wasn't such a fan of the movie. Not even such a fan of the actress. But I was a fan of those pants. It's been 11 years since I've seen them, and I couldn't find them online :o(
